You're Good is operated by Melanie Innis. There's no account or sign-in — this policy explains what limited information the app and website do collect, how it's used, and your choices.

What we collect

You're Good doesn't require an account, email address, or sign-in of any kind. The dinner preferences you set — dietary restrictions, pantry and go-to foods, foods your household won't eat, your energy-level answers, reminder time, and your dinner history — are stored locally on your device and are never sent to our servers.

We use PostHog, a product analytics tool, on the app and on this marketing website to understand how each is used. In the app, that means things like completing onboarding, getting a suggestion, swapping a suggestion, logging an outcome, and general app opens and taps — these events include general details (for example, how many dietary restrictions you've set, or whether a suggestion used a fallback) but not the specific foods, ingredients, or notes you've entered. On the marketing website, that means things like which campaign or site referred you here and whether you clicked the App Store download button. PostHog assigns an anonymous ID to your device or browser; we don't use accounts, sign-in, or PostHog's identity features, so there's no way to connect this activity to your name, email, or any personal profile. Session recording is off, and IP-based location lookup (GeoIP) is disabled for all of these events.

When you ask for a dinner suggestion, your current preferences (dietary restrictions, pantry, energy level, and similar) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate that suggestion in real time. We don't store a copy of that request ourselves.

If you subscribe, Apple handles billing directly. Apple also notifies our backend (Supabase) of subscription events like renewals or payment issues, so we can keep your subscription status accurate — this is tied to your purchase, not to a personal profile.

Our marketing website (youregood.app, separate from the app itself) also uses Vercel Analytics for basic visit counts.

How we use it

We use this information to generate personalized dinner suggestions, remind you at your chosen time, understand which parts of the app are and aren't working (via PostHog), and keep your subscription status accurate with Apple (via Supabase).

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not require or collect your name, email address, or any sign-in credentials. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the app and website: Anthropic (to generate dinner suggestions), PostHog (product analytics), Apple (payments and subscription management), Supabase (tracking subscription status from Apple), and Vercel Analytics (basic website visit counts).

Data storage

Your dinner preferences and history live in your device's local storage — we don't have a copy. If you delete the app or clear your browser's site data, that information is gone for good. Analytics events go to PostHog under an anonymous device ID. Subscription events from Apple are stored in our Supabase backend, tied to your purchase rather than your identity.

Push notifications

If you enable notifications, your daily dinner reminder is scheduled directly on your device through iOS — no server round-trip required. Your device also registers with Apple's push notification system so we can send subscription-related alerts, like a trial ending or a payment issue. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Children's privacy

You're Good is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
